IT’S BEEN FUN!

Hello readers and Mahou Sensei Negima fans. This chapter will be the last release from our group. We've all thoroughly enjoyed working on this wonderful, and at times frustrating, series for over 150 chapters. We thank the many people who've worked to bring you this series and all the people who supported us over that time.

Our main objective was to bring Akamatsu's manga to the non-Japanese speaking audience in a form that does reasonable justice to the original material. Alas, we were victims of our own success. The popularity of the series increased to the point where multiple groups felt the urge to speed scanlate Negima, and they’ve become very good at it too. This, and real life commitments, unfortunately drove away rebuilders from our very tiring standards. Now we’ve reached the point where we are no longer able to maintain a constant flow of releases and will eventually be overtaken even by the professionals at Delrey.

Thus it is with a heavy heart that we bid you farewell, and good luck to the other groups that will continue to scanlate this series to the end.

However, we still have one of the biggest Negima/Akamatsu's community within our forums, and you are all welcome, if it's not already the case, to join it, discuss or simply read from single comments to deep analysis about your favorite series. A page has been turned but the main story is still on going, ALL HAIL AQUASTAR-ANIME!

it's a real shame, indeed; you guys were awesome at it, and Ive been archiving your releases since Negima was just another harem manga instead of the full-fledge shounen manga awesomeness it is now.

well, I suppose that neither of you really wish it to end this way, so it would be pretty useless to appeal against this decision. I just want to say again that you guys are awesome and I hope u keep going strong with your subbing section.

Oh yes, let's make it absolutely clear. The remaining staff would have been happy to have continued. Unfortunately we were lacking essential staff to complete it. Despite many many attempts at attracting capable, willing staff, we simply could not get the full complement necessary to continue.

Too bad. I always prefered the AQS job over everyone else. It's also a bit sad in another way, because I used the AQS pages as detail reference material to help with my Negima fanfic. Especially WAY back in 2007, before c189 was even a twinkle in DR's eye.

What. I just remembered to visit this site and this shows up? Rough holidays indeed.
Well, I guess it had to happen considering the gaps in between posts. Maybe another project, far into the future where I can rejoin the peeps at the forums and irc (and nab a position in the group XP).
