After a long period of being very busy with other projects and RL stuff, we are pleased to present along with the members of Orange-Side Fansubs the 2nd and final episode of the Yotsunoha OVA series. We hope you've enjoyed this short, but cute series.

Also, my apologies for this, as we forgot to post the release info for the widescreen release of the new Clannad ~After Story~ promos. AQS will be teaming up with the members of Sprocket-Hole and TheWaffleHouse to bring you the continuing story of Clannad. Stay tuned for more Clannad goodness, including the bonus episode 24 coming up this month as well as the Clannad Movie.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that AQS-Anime has decided to pick up as its 2nd project, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu. We are looking forward to bringing you this series, so look for releases coming up soon!

Funimation announces partnership agreement to distribute Geneon USA titles
In the first big announcement to kick off AX 2008, Funimation Ent. has announced that they have signed an agreement to be the distributor of a large portion of Geneon Ent. USAs titles.

Funimation picks up over 30 ADV titles
Another big announcement kicks off Day 2 of Anime Expo as Funimation has picked up over 30 titles formerly held by ADV Films. Note that these were titles that had previously been halted for distribution several months ago and again just recently.

In a little bit of news today from our fansub division, the 1st of 2 new projects for the upcoming summer season will be Slayers Revolution with the members of Toki-Fansubs. In US anime news, the 1st volume of Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru is out today by Media Blasters. Just announced today, Funimation has picked up the license to the 26 episode Kodansha series Ookiku Furikabutte based on the manga by Asa Higuchi. The title of the series for the US release will be Big Windup!.

Edit (6/30/08) - Funimation has announced the license to another Kodansha series, this time it beingHeroic Age. More details to follow later.

A Small Announcement

I figured I would talk about this here since people may not hit the jump for the full story, and it is somewhat official news.

As of the end of this month (the 26th), I will be taking a leave of absence from the scanlation team. For those of you curious - no, scanlations will not be put on hiatus. We have a very competent team with incredibly talented people who are more than able to continue to produce chapters while I am away.

I will be gone for approximately 9 weeks, returning at the beginning of September. Toggle the full story if you want trivial details about where I'll be and what I'll be doing.

For a little update today, I figured that this would be a chance for some news from both the US industry and also our fansub division.

Media Blasters licenses Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan
Revealed on AnimeonDVD.com today, Media Blasters has picked up the license to Dokuro-chan for the US market. Released as pairs of OVA short episodes, the series is based on the light novel and manga series and consists of 8 short episodes each for both the 1st and 2nd series.

On a side note, don't forget to pre-order Otoboku Vol. 1 which will be released later this month by Media Blasters. Pre-order is available in our Support section of the site or through your anime retailer.

Fansub projects update

Clannad the Movie (w/ TWH and SprocketHole) - work is still underway with translation almost finished. We will keep you posted on this.

Kimi ga Aruji - after some discussion among our staff, including our translators, we have decided to drop this project, as two very good groups have already completed the series. Plus, it would've been very difficult for us to pick up from where we left off due to real life issues that took priority for some of our staff members. Definitely pick up the release from either Ayako or AnimeYoshi.

Yotsunoha Episode 2 (w/ Orange-Side) - just a few finishing touches left on this, so keep checking back and we hope to have this out for you guys soon.

New project(s) - as you guys have already noticed, we have subbed the first episode of To Heart 2 ad (Another Days), and we are anxiously awaiting the next episode.

With our staff refreshed and ready for some new stuff, we are in the process of selecting a few possible new projects. And to answer peoples' question about the new Negima OADs, yes, we will be subbing it, along with at least one new summer TV series, which we'll be announcing soon. Details to follow on Negima later as well.
